It sounds interesting...the author is Ruper Isaacson...I'm hoping to read it and/or watch it soon.
Don't you love it when you can compare a book to its film?

I said "the story", but forgot to mention it's a true story. I think it may even be available, or will be anyway, as a DVD or on TV or something. At least I know they filmed it.

One of these days I'll get on the ball and read something together with this group! Meanwhile, just thought I'd share a book I'm loving right now (listening to in my car, read by the author). The title is The Horse Boy by Rupert (last name forgotten?). Strong theme of horses, of course, but more about healing and the mysteries of life and the universe. It's the story of these parents taking their autistic son on a journey to Mongolia and Siberia for a series of healings from shamans. It's GREAT! Can't wait to keep listening when I get in the car again tomorrow....

Raising My Furry Children sounds like fun reading! I'm looking forward to the collection and artwork. PLEASE be sure to let us know when it is available. I'm hoping that the upcoming months of finalizing it's release is smooth for you, Tracy.

Hi. I'm new to this site. I will have a book published next year by a traditional publisher featuring my columns that have run in several publications over the years. Title is "Raising My Furry Children." The book will also feature my artwork of over 40 pet portraits. I am designating a portion of the proceeds to American Brittany Rescue. When the book is available - can I let you all know? Can you help me spread the word? You can see my web site at www.tracyahrens.weebly.com. Take care. Tracy Ahrens, Kankakee, Il.

Oh, this is very exciting. Maybe this will actually help me get going on the stack of books by my bedside. And what better to start it off with than Megan's new books. Now I just need to get my hand on a copy! I have already started "Animals Make Us Human" and I think I like it even better than "Animals in Translation". Thanks for starting this group off. I will make sure our student's know about it and also add the books listed here are approved titles for the book reports!
